Trego | On the Namekagon River

For your convenience!!

Right below this paragraph is a pdf of all the current information about Town of Trego government. If you’re a resident, this was included in your tax bill in December 2018. The Town now has its own website at, but it probably isn’t showing up readily on Google because their website is fairly new and Google takes awhile to find stuff. That’s why you landed here. While you’re waiting for Google, just click the link above.

Feel free to download and print the document below or refer to it whenever you want to call or email the Town Board members.

I love to hear from people (even when they wake me early in the moring!! 🙂 You know who you are.) and talk about Trego, but I don’t have a lot of facts about town government or how to contact representatives. Sadly, I don’t know how to reach the Trego Park campground either. 🙁

Trego is located in Northwest Wisconsin. It’s home to the Namekagon River and Trego Lake where you’ll find excellent fishing, camping, and canoeing. One of our favorite summertime activities is tubing the river. On warm summer days, rent a tube, catch a ride upstream and spend the afternoon floating the river with friends. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

The Namekagon River is a designated Wild and Scenic Riverway — one leg of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Perfect for families or groups who want a quiet getaway on the order of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. After your day of fishing, canoeing, tubing or wildlife watching, visit one of our local establishments for a cool refreshing drink and an ever-changing variety of delicious fare.
